A MAN OF HIS WORD FOR SURE

LA Galaxy striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic was asked if he was better than Carlos Vela before Saturday night’s game against Los Angeles.

He simply replied: “The whole league, not only Vela.”

In the interview with ESPN, the 37-year-old was then asked if he would demonstrate it on the big stage. His reply?

Ahead of the game, Ibrahimovic also described himself as being “like a Ferrari” in a league full of “Fiats”, so the pressure was on for him to perform.

And he did just that. The 37-year-old scored the perfect hat-trick against local rivals Los Angeles, scoring with his left foot, right foot and head.

Zlatan had done it again, and he wasn’t afraid to voice his opinion after the final whistle.

He took aim at the Carlos Vela comparisons, saying it was a “mistake” to make that judgement.

“Please do not offend me, I don’t need to prove nothing, even if I don’t score the goals today,” Ibrahimovic said in the post-match press conference.

“I have a lot of respect for Vela, he’s a good player, but you did one mistake, you compared him with me, that was your biggest mistake.”

“I have a bulletproof mind. When I go out there, I know what I’m able to prove.

And I do it good.
